From farm to fibre in this hands on workshop you will meet the sheep, geek out about fibre and enrich your knowledge to pick the perfect fibre for the perfect fibre. Then we will take in the sea air with an hour long guided walk along the Cornish Coast all rounded off with a traditional pub lunch.

About the event
From farm to fibre in this hands on workshop you will meet the sheep, geek out about fibre and enrich your knowledge to pick the perfect fibre for the perfect project. Then we will take in the sea air with an hour long guided walk along the Cornish Coast all rounded off with a traditional pub lunch by the harbour.
Don't forget to bring your walking boots, waterproofs and portable yarn project.
-Arrive at 10.30am to the farm
-Parking available at the farm.
-Meet and greet with the sheep and Shepherd.
-Keeping sheep for fibre.
-Processes from fleece to final fibre.
-Picking the right fibre for the right project
-Sustainability and environmental impact of fibre
-Guilded walk along the coastal path. Approx 1hr. Weather dependant!
-Pub lunch, first drink and transport back to the farm at approx 2.45pm.
T&C's. Please note tickets are none refundable or transferable. If you can’t attend the event, please get in touch. You must make your own travel arrangements to and from the farm and we ask you to arrive on time. Part of the workshop is walking and the challenge of tackling different terrains, landscapes and weather conditions. Every effort is made to minimize potential hazards; however, walking involves a certain level of unavoidable risk of accident and/or injury. If the weather does not permit walking this part of the workshop will be not take place instead we will commune at the village of Porthleven for lunch. No refunds in full or part will be given if this part of the workshop does not take place. Taking part in this activity, you are aware of and accept these risks. This workshop is for people across all identities, especially those from underrepresented communities. With this we expect people to respect one another and you will be asked to leave the event if your behavior is unacceptable.
